Our Mission Statement: We, a diverse community, believe in our power to build, foster and cultivate imagination and life-long learning in a safe and welcoming space.

 

The Friends of the South Novato Library and Shop is the newest chapter of Friends of the Marin County Free Library. We’re here to support our vibrant, diverse community with library services and activities that meet the needs of all our patrons, whether it’s Storytime in English or Spanish, tutoring, game times for teens, support for English language learners, or a wide array of materials to check out.

Our library isn’t big, but it’s mighty!

The Board of the Friends of the Marin County Free Library focuses on programs and services for the entire County Library system. We also have Friends chapters at the five regional libraries (Civic Center, Corte Madera, Fairfax, Marin City, and the Novato Libraries). Our income is from sales at our used book store, the Book Place, and membership donations.  When you Join, you may designate your donation for your favorite branch, or give to the County Friends overall.
