The Book Place - 1608 Grant Avenue, near 7th Street, Novato
You'll find books in more than 60 categories at unbelievable prices--fiction, nonfiction, cookbooks, children's books, collector's items and more. You'll also find CDs DVDs, and sheet music and puzzles. Books start at just a quarter.
We're staffed entirely by volunteers. Hassle-free parking is behind the store.

Donations of books are accepted Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, BEHIND the store in our parking lot. Enter off 7th Street, near corner of Grant Avenue, and look for our roll-up door. Be sure to consult our Donation Guidelines before packing your donations. Thank you in advance!

Our November specials are designed to prepare you for winter reading or starting on Holiday gift lists, checking off recipients with pricing that goes easy on your budget. We have some lovely possibilities!
We’re getting you ready for the big winter reading season with a sale on our large Fiction Wall. For just $3 each (reg price $5 hardcover and $4 trade paperback), you can build a stash to get you through the long, dark months. Excludes Sci-Fi, Literature, and Current Releases.

Book Donation Info​
We are always in need of gently-used materials to keep our selection fresh at The Book Place, our used bookstore in Novato. We accept books, magazines, CDs, DVDs, sheet music and puzzles. However, we ask that you check the Donations Guidelines before packing your donation, as many categories have age limits. We accept donations on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, 10am-4pm, in the parking lot behind the store. Look for the large rollup door. We’ll come out to your vehicle and quickly screen your donation, and provide a receipt if you like. If you are donating more than 2-3 bags/boxes, please phone ahead (415-209-0212) to check if we have room to take your donation, or if you have questions about anything you wish to donate.
