We are offering 1/3 off all individually-priced Art and Collectible/Coffee Table-type books. Many of these books are gift-worthy, and with a shorter Holiday shopping season this year, this could just be what you are looking for! Choose from Travel, Art, Cultural/Anthropology, Photography, and more! Excludes our individually-marked cookbooks, Children’s/Teen, New Fiction/non-Fiction, Biography, sets, and California History.
Another option is gift certificates for The Book Place, available in any denomination. Beginning immediately until Christmas Eve, we are giving a “Free Book” coupon with every gift certificate purchase. Use the coupon as a stocking stuffer, a small gift for another person on your list, or use it yourself! Introduce someone to the fun of browsing our used books, donated by the public, where the inventory is always changing.
The Book Place - 1608 Grant Avenue, near 7th Street, Novato
You'll find books in every category--fiction, nonfiction, cookbooks, children's books, collector's items and much more. You'll also find CDs, videos, and audiobooks. The shop is open seven days a week and has unbeatable prices, with books starting at just a quarter. We're staffed entirely by volunteers, and new members can find volunteer opportunities there, too. Call 415-209-0212 for information. Hassle-free parking is behind the store (enter off 7th Street) with a back entrance for an easy shopping experience.
Donating? Please phone ahead to check if we have room for your donations before bringing your books/materials to the Book Place. 415-209-0212. Our room gets full very quickly, and we often have to refuse donations temporarily. Please read our Donation Guidelines for further direction. Please, no dirty, torn, moldy books - please consider carefully whether your books are in resale condition.
The Book Place is operated by the Friends of the Marin County Free Library, a nonprofit volunteer organization. All proceeds are used for special programs, needs, and materials for the Marin County Free Libraries.
